Synopsis: This course will simplify the red flags and patient data privacy and security rules. Specifically, the course will cover the following topics:

  1. Implementing an Effective Red Flags Identity Theft Prevention Program;
  2. Preparing for the New HIPAA Data Security Breach Notification Requirements;
  3. Understanding the HIPAA Liability Provisions for Beach of Notification Rule; and
  4. Complying with the New HIPAA Disclosure Accounting Requirements and Marketing Restrictions.

Proposed Learning Objectives:

  • Be better prepared to comply with the FTC Red Flags Rules;
  • Have the tools to design new HIPAA compliance policies and procedures;
  • Have a practical understanding of what you need to do and how to comply.
