I am honored and excited to lead the International Society of Refractive Surgery, a partner of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), in 2013.
ISRS has long been at the forefront of refractive innovation and is comprised of leaders of refractive surgery worldwide. In 2013, we will continue to build upon our reputation as the leading global society for refractive surgery, as well as strengthen our connection with cataract, corneal and lens-based research, education and leadership.
As a member of the ISRS, you currently receive a wide variety of benefits, from cataract and refractive clinical education (on the ONE Network) and the Journal of Refractive Surgery, to a reduced rate for Refractive Surgery Subspecialty Day at the AAO Annual Meeting and vast a network of leading refractive surgeons around the world.
You also gain exclusive access to the ISRS Multimedia Library, which contains more than 200 videos, presentations and conversations uploaded by well-known surgeons from around the world.
Members are actively engaging on the ISRS online forum – presenting cases and sharing treatment options. If you are not already participating in the forum, I strongly suggest you register and join in on the conversation.
On behalf of the ISRS executive committee, thank you for your membership and we hope to see you at an ISRS symposium this year.
Professor Amar Agarwal
2013 President, ISRS Executive Committee
