Exhibitor Registration

  • Representatives of exhibiting companies are registered in advance for the Joint Meeting by an individual from their company appointed to handle the details of the company’s participation in the exhibition. Do not use the Academy’s Web site or Preregistration and Ticket Order forms to register exhibitor representatives — these methods of registration are for physicians and health care professionals only. A link to the Exhibitor Registration web site was sent to exhibiting companies in August.
  • Individuals from industry, including representatives of exhibiting companies, may register for the 2009 Subspecialty Day Program of their choice using the Commercial Representative registration category and may use the Academy’s Web site or the Preregistration order form.
  • The Allied Health and Other Medical Professional registration categories are not to be used by commercial registrants for the Joint Meeting or Subspecialty Day. These categories are for those working in ophthalmic practice or academia.

If you have additional questions regarding exhibitor registration, contact the Exhibitions Coordinator.

Exhibitor Representatives

  • Exhibiting companies for the Joint Meeting will register their representatives in advance on the Academy's Web site. The individual appointed by the company to handle the details of the company’s participation in the exhibition will be able to register representatives beginning Wednesday, Aug. 12.
  • Individuals with questions regarding whether they are registered should contact their company’s main office and speak with the person handling their company’s participation in the Academy’s 2009 Joint Meeting.
  • Representatives of an exhibiting company will receive an e-mail confirmation of their registration for the Joint Meeting if their e-mail address is provided at the time they are registered.
  • Exhibitor badges will be available for pickup at Exhibitor Registration in the South Building Lobby of the Moscone Center. Exhibitors with an e-mail confirmation of their registration will be able to pick up their badges at the Exhibitor Will-Call terminals located in this area.
  • Photo identification and a business card are required in order to receive a badge.

Other Corporate Registration Options

Corporate Representatives

  • A Corporate Representative registration category has been added to provide the opportunity for a corporate representative with a legitimate business or educational reason, but whose company does not have a product or service to exhibit, to attend the Joint Meeting.
  • Contact exhibitions@aao.org for additional information. Do not register on the Academy’s Web site or use the forms from the Web site — those methods of registration are for physicians and health professionals only.

Industry Visitors

  • The Academy offers an Industry Visitor Pass to companies interested in exhibiting in the future. The pass is $850 and allows two representatives of the company to visit the exhibit hall for one day. If the company decides to participate at the 2010 Annual Meeting, the $850 will be applied to their exhibit space fee. For more information, contact the Exhibitions Coordinator.

Exhibitor Housing

  • The Academy’s housing service, Expovision, began accepting exhibitor housing applications on May 27 from the individual appointed by the company to handle their participation in the exhibition. A housing assignment was sent to this individual in mid-June. Exhibiting companies must have submitted their rooming list to Expovision by Sept. 9.
  • Exhibitors are now able to manage their housing block online.
  • Individual representatives with questions about obtaining a room should contact their company’s main office and speak with the person handling housing for their company’s participation in the Joint Meeting exhibition.
