Bag Check-In Service

Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 26 and 27, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Flying home on Monday or Tuesday? Bring your luggage to the convention center and Bags Inc. will check it for you, through to your final destination. The fee is $10 for the first bag and $25 for the second bag, plus any airline fees. You must check your bags a minimum of three hours before your departure time.
Academy Airport Transfer (SFO)
Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 26 and 27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Academy will operate shuttle service from the Moscone Center to the San Francisco International Airport on Monday and Tuesday for $17 per person. The shuttle will depart from Moscone every 30 minutes. Allow 30 to 45 minutes' travel time to SFO. Advance reservations are required; see the shuttle supervisor outside the Moscone during shuttle hours. Cash only; tickets are non-refundable. Airport shuttle flyer (PDF 197K).

Several door-to-door shared-ride shuttles operate between SFO or OAK and San Francisco hotels and the Moscone Center.

Taxis
- SFO: Metered rates apply. A $2 exit surcharge is added to all fares for rides originating from SFO. Approximate fares to San Francisco from SFO: Downtown - $37, Fisherman’s Wharf - $44.
- OAK: Metered rates apply. A $2.50 exit surcharge is added to all fares for rides originating from OAK. Passenger pays bridge toll ($4). Approximate fare to San Francisco from OAK: $66

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)
BART operates between downtown San Francisco and both airports:
- SFO: Take the yellow line (Pittsburg/Bay Point) and disembark at Civic Center, Powell Street, Montgomery Street or Embarcadero. About 30 minutes; $8.10.
- OAK: Take the AirBART Shuttle bus to Coliseum/Oakland Airport, then transfer to the green line (Daly City) or to the blue line (SFO/Milbrae). Disembark at Civic Center, Powell Street, Montgomery Street or Embarcadero. About 45 minutes; $3 for shuttle, $3.80 for train.

Shuttle Bus
Shuttle-bus service will be provided for 2009 Joint Meeting attendees between most of the official Joint Meeting hotels and the Moscone Center during meeting hours, Saturday, Oct. 24, through Tuesday, Oct. 27. There will be limited service on Friday, Oct. 23. The Shuttle Schedule (PDF 118K) will be printed in the Pocket Guide and Final Program and will be available to download to your PDA from the Meeting E-Guide. Hotel rates include an $8 fee to partially defray shuttle costs.
Parking
There are several parking lots near the Moscone Center and Marriott Hotel. View the Moscone Center's parking lot list and parking lot map.
Taxis
Taxis in San Francisco are metered. The rate is $3.10 for the first 1/5 mile or flag; $0.45 for each additional 1/5 mile or fraction thereof; and $0.45 for each minute of waiting time or traffic time delay.
