Mid-Year Forum

star Overview

The 2010 Mid-Year Forum will be held from April 21 to 24 in Washington, D.C.

This annual forum provides an opportunity for Academy leaders and leaders of allied ophthalmic organizations to identify and discuss critical issues facing ophthalmology. These leaders provide important contributions to the development of Academy policy. This is an important opportunity for you to not only provide input to the Academy, but also to learn more about Academy activities in order to provide up-to-date information to other Academy members and the constituents you represent for your state, subspecialty or specialized interest society.  View photos from the 2009 Mid-Year Forum.

Congressional Advocacy Day
Advocacy Day 2010 will be held April 21 to 22 in conjunction with the Mid-Year Forum. During Congressional Advocacy Day, Academy members were educated about legislative issues relevant to the Academy and the ophthalmic profession. Academy members met with their U.S. senators and representatives to present the concerns and positions of the Academy and the profession.

Council Meeting
The Council will meet in conjunction with the Mid-Year Forum from April 23 to 24.
