American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Ophthalmic News and Education (O.N.E. ™) Network
SAN FRANCISCO – The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) announced that they are collaborating to provide RCOphth members with access to the AAO’s Ophthalmic News and Education (O.N.E.™) Network, an online resource designed to help ophthalmologists keep up with current developments.
“We’re pleased that the AAO will extend the reach of the O.N.E. Network to the RCOphth’s members,” said David W. Parke II, MD, executive vice president of the Academy. “The O.N.E. Network is an unparalleled asset for ophthalmic information, and the AAO is pleased to be able to help enhance ophthalmic education internationally.”
The O.N.E. Network was launched by the Academy in 2007 and provides ophthalmologists a vast array of resources, including rich and robust educational content and customizable subspecialty information. In addition to the non-exclusive collaboration with the RCOphth, the AAO will continue to increase the global relevance of the O.N.E. Network by soliciting appropriate international clinical content.
“This collaboration is an important step in our mission to enhance ophthalmic education,” said Mr. John Lee, president of the RCOphth. “The AAO’s O.N.E. Network will provide a tremendous benefit for our members and help them in their everyday practice.”
