Dr. Jacques Houly presents a video of a 7-year-old female patient with Marfan Syndrome and ectopia lentis in the right eye. Her uncorrected visual acuity was counting fingers and the BCVA was 20/100. Slit-lamp examination revealed a reasonable subluxation of the crystalline lens without vitreous prolapse. Despite the existence of several surgical techniques for ectopia lentis, Dr. Houly opts to implant an intraocular device known as the AssiAnchor that has been rarely used in Brazil. The surgery was a success even without a capsular tension ring or segment.

The AssiAnchor device is produced and developed by the Hanita Lens Company (Israel) and is CE approved.
