    Dr. Albert I. Davis passed away on Jun. 18, 2020 from COVID-19 related complications.

    Dr. Davis completed medical school at Howard University, at which time he met his wife, Patricia, of 57 years. Following medical school, Dr. Davis completed an internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital, then headed West to Los Angeles. He completed military service in San Pedro, followed by ophthalmology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles.

    As his family grew, Dr. Davis opened a private practice with offices in Torrance and Los Angeles. His illustrious career lasted 45 years, where he was a dedicated practitioner and accomplished surgeon, treating generations of patients with compassion and skill. During his career he held leadership positions at Torrance Memorial Hospital and taught generations of residents at both the University of California, Los Angeles and and the University of California, Irvine.

    Dr. Davis and his wife, Patricia, who also passed away in Jun. 2020, are survived by their three sons, their wives and six grandchildren. He will be remembered for his humbleness, compassion and dedication to his patients, family and friends.
