  • Dr. Jindra is founder and president of Floral Park Ophthalmology, P.C., in Floral Park, N.Y., where he is in private practice. He specializes in the treatment of glaucoma and cataract and the performance of laser surgery. He is also chief emeritus of ophthalmology at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, N.Y., where he works on staffing, administration and operations issues for ophthalmology services; oversees the development of outpatient ambulatory surgical and laser services; and manages the purchasing of capital equipment.

    Dr. Jindra earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate's College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. He was an intern at Cornell University Medical College at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, and resident and chief resident at the Edward S. Harkness Institute of Ophthalmology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City.

    He also earned a master of public administration degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., and a master of science in management from the University of Oxford in Oxford, England.
