Simplified Haptic Externalization Technique

Dr. Priya Narang demonstrates a simplified method of haptic externalization that combines the 'no assistant' and 'handshake' techniques. In the 'no assistant' technique, the leading haptic remains externalized without requiring an assistant to hold it and prevent it from slipping back into the eye. The 'handshake' technique ensures smooth externalization of the trailing haptic, which involves the transfer of haptics from one hand to another until the tip of the trailing haptic is reached, grasped and pulled from the sclerotomy site.
