Tackling Proliferative Vitreoretinopathy

Dr. Nesrine Abroug describes a case of proliferative vitreoretinopathy–associated retinal detachment that was managed using combined buckle vitrectomy. An inferior segmental sponge was used, followed by vitrectomy with relief of tractions from epiretinal membranes, extended peeling of the internal limiting membrane, inferior retinectomy, 360° endolaser, and silicone oil tamponade.
