    Retina/Vitreous

Drs. Saagar Pandit and Ajay Kuriyan manage an open funnel retinal detachment in a 41-year-old patient who had recently undergone repair of a ruptured globe. A pars plana vitrectomy, pars plana lensectomy, and 360-degree relaxing retinectomy were performed, using perfluorocarbon, fluid–air exchange, and 1000-centistoke silicone oil. At postoperative month five, the retina remained attached and visual acuity had improved slightly from hand motions (preoperatively) to counting fingers at two feet.
