Obtaining a comprehensive medical history from patients who have undergone previous strabismus surgery can be challenging, due to factors such as patients being too young at the time of the procedure to recall details, limited recollection by patients and parents about the diagnosis and surgery specifics, and a lack of access to operative records. To address some of these challenges, Dr. Mahmoud Ismail and colleagues present a novel objective test, the Gaze Blinking Test, for conjunctival examination, to help identify the location of prior surgical interventions.
