Cataract/Anterior Segment
Slit lamp image of Cerulean cataract also known as blue dot cataract. Note the white opacifications scattered in the cortex of the lens. Notes: These are developmental cataracts characterized by blue and white opacifications scattered in the nucleus and cortex of the lens. These cataract do not affect visual acuity and often do not need them removed before adulthood.
