Cornea/External Disease
A 50-year-old man presented with redness, watering, and irritation in the right eye that began 1 week previously. Band keratopathy is a corneal degeneration that is most often composed of fine dust-like calcium deposits in the subepithelium, the Bowman layer, and the anterior stroma. It is typically a band-shaped, horizontal opacity that grows from the peripheral cornea toward the central cornea.
